UoG Illustration
We are a community of artists who use visual language to tell stories and connect to an audience. We make things, draw, talk and write. There’s no one way to do illustration and no one way to learn.
Our approach
Our program values the contributions our students bring to the classroom. We ask critical questions to deepen our understanding of where we want to go & what we want to do. We value critique and conversation as it makes our research integral to our process of growth and learning. That’s the big words out of the way….
Our print room is old school, but our Mac Suite isn’t.
Etching, aquatint, screen printing, letterpress in the print room and Risograph, Procreate, and the Adobe Suite in the computer room. These tools support one another, and learning how to use some will help you learn to use them all.
Our Studio
We love to be in the studio, it’s the place where we share ideas, talk to colleagues and make new work. Every student has a desk for their whole three years with us.
